Dr. Reiss Martin

General Dentist

I’m Dr. Martin Reiss, some people call me Doc Martin (not to be confused with the shoemaker). I’m a smile maker. I became a dentist because well I’m a nerd. I embraced the nerd at McMaster University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and then at the University of Western Ontario where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was honored with the Dr. Sam Ioannidis Memorial Award in Restorative Dentistry, Schulich Dentistry Prize for Professionalism and Ethics, and the award in Oral Medicine.

A different way to phrase all of that would be that I’m a life-long learner. Choosing a career in dentistry has allowed me to continue learning not only by staying on top of the latest techniques but it has helped me get to know people. As your dentist I want to learn from you.

During one of my dental outreach experiences in Nicaragua I was faced with the challenge of providing care with a language barrier. That is where I learned that communication is at the core of every healthy smile. I strive to provide a comfortable professional environment where you can share your concerns without judgment.

That’s my kind of dentistry.
